Helping consumers navigate endless rows of appliances in-line with little differentiation. MY FAVORITE PART: It’s unfortunate these concepts never made it to reality. It’s a simple way to dramatically improve the shopping experience using fixtures that already exist at Lowe’s. It leaned on their brand language nicely and would really eliminate some consumer pain points.</image:caption>

MY FAVORITE PART: This was a shoestring budget…like only enough money for a (discounted) photographer. Which required some outside-of-the-box thinking and wearing a lot of hats to pull things off at this level. Propping, styling and wardrobe, direction, camera assistant, location scouting, craft services, retouching…even loading in all of the weights and camera gear. I think this was far beyond what the client was expecting.</image:caption>

So when the kids ask for help making a package on a Saturday, I’m all in. It’s fun to amaze clients and equally as fun when you blow away your family with something that looks complicated and awesome beyond their imagination. From “brief” to prototype to final design in 1 hour. Many more hours of hand-trimming and assembly followed. But…they’re well on their way to making their $1,000 fundraising goal. Ah, the power of design (and cute child labor).</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Senior Art Director / Concept / Design / Renders We were tasked with envisioning an innovative new way for shoppers to browse and purchase large appliances from major big box retailers’ brick and mortar stores. One that reduces the confusion of so many SKUs, reduces returns, uses less floor space, but still allows interaction with the appliances on the floor MY FAVORITE PART: An appliance registry not only eliminates the hassle of looking for appliances, but it makes it fun. Allowing shoppers to scan appliances from our kitchen showroom with a tablet allows them to dream about premium appliances in their home, but simplifies comparison and checkout from an endless aisle online. Afterall retailers never floor every SKU. The “Appliance Test Drive” component is one we’re already familiar with from online mattress brands but erases the fear of getting something very large that you don’t like and being stuck with it.</image:caption>

Taking the appliances out of the bays and bring them to their own section would be a game changer for sure.</image:caption>
